Barbara Gail Armistead, 63, of Powderly, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at U. T. Health – East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
Memorial services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Kerri Ademak officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Barbara, the daughter of William and Marjorie Merrill, was born March 30, 1956, in Elmira, NY.
She worked a number of years at Braums, Noble True Value, and Hicks Muffler & Tire before her retirement. Barbara was known as a loyal and hard worker. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her family unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Merrill, and a brother, Victor Merrill.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Armistead, three children, Michael Herron & wife Jennifer of Paris, Lisa Moore & husband Samuel of Reno and Jesse Herron & wife Ashley of Paris, her mother, Marjorie Merrill of Talco, grandchildren; Monica, Madison, Jonathan, Joanna, Chelsea, Tyler, Jordan, Vivian and Jude, one great grandchild, Carter, siblings; Tom Merrill, Bill Merrill, John Merrill, Ann Francis, Nancy Harrison and Jeff Merrill along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
