The Band-Aid brand is just one of many super companies that are taking to social media to announce changes within their company, products, and how they aim to be more inclusive within the world.
Announced on Instagram earlier this week, the Band-Aid brand said they were now going to offer a bandaid color to suit multiple skin colors.
“We hear you. We see you. We’re listening to you.,” the company said. “We stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators, and community in the fight against racism, violence, and injustice. We are committed to taking actions to create tangible change for the Black community.”
Further stating that they were committing to launching a range of bandages from light, medium to deep shades of Brown and Black skin tones that embrace the beauty of various skin.
“We are dedicated to inclusivity and providing the best healing solutions, better representing you,” the company said. “In addition, we will be making a donation to @blklivesmatter. We promise that this is just the first among many steps together in the fight against systemic racism.”
