The Lamar County Courthouse was evacuated on Tuesday shortly before 2 p.m. after a note was found in the basement bathroom stating there was a bomb in one of the courtrooms.
According to Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass, deputies cleared the building and closed the courthouse for the remainder of the day. However, the Plano Bomb Squad was called in with a bomb-sniffing K9 to sweep the building.
Shortly after 5 p.m., the Plano Bomb Squad cleared the courthouse.
The investigation is ongoing.
