Volkswagen is recalling more than 350,000 Audi vehicles due to a fault in the car’s rearview camera.
According to the notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the notice on the rearview camera says “does not display” an image, increasing the risk of a crash.
Officials added that the fault is due to a software issue.
According to the notice, Audi vehicles in the following models and model years are included in the recall:
- 2019-2025 Audi A6
- 2020-2026 Audi A6 Allroad
- 2019-2025 Audi A7
- 2019-2026 Audi A8
- 2019-2024 Audi E-Tron
- 2022-2026 Audi E-Tron GT
- 2020-2024 Audi E-Tron Sportback
- 2020-2026 Audi Q7
- 2019-2026 Audi Q8
- 2021-2026 Audi RS 6 Avant
- 2021-2026 Audi RS 7
- 2022-2026 Audi RS E-Tron GT
- 2020-2026 Audi RS Q8
- 2020-2025 Audi S6
- 2020-2025 Audi S7
- 2020-2026 Audi S8
- 2020-2026 Audi SQ7
- 2020-2026 Audi SQ8
Owners of impacted vehicles are expected to receive notification letters on Feb. 17, according to the notice. Affected cars will be able to get updated software installed by a dealer free of charge.
