Annie “Ann” Claire Howard, 103 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
A graveside service has been set for Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 2:30 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas with Rev. Tim Hearn officiating. No visitation has been scheduled.
She was born on September 24, 1914, in Celeste, Texas to O.S. and Lillie Gresham Nelson. She married Edgar H. Howard on May 1, 1937, in Celeste. She taught First grade for 36 years having retired in 1973 when she moved to Paris. She was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church since 1973 where she taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her son, Lynn Howard; grandchildren, Sondra Schultz, Tammy Howard, Stacie Howard; great-grandchild, Kayla Schultz; sister-in-law, Bess Nelson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.S. and Lillie Gresham Nelson; husband of 62 years, Edgar H. Howard; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
