Aikin Elementary 4th grade student Keelen Carr recently stepped into a leadership role after earning the opportunity to serve as “Principal for the Day” through the campus Wildcat Bucks program.
Keelen was one of the first students at Aikin Elementary to save 200 Wildcat Bucks, reaching the highest reward level offered through the school’s positive behavior incentive system. Her achievement earned her the unique chance to work alongside Aikin Elementary Principal Mrs. Katie McKinney and help lead daily campus activities.
During her day as principal, Keelen assisted with various responsibilities and gained a firsthand look at what it takes to run a school, demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and dedication to positive behavior.
The Wildcat Bucks program recognizes students for making good choices, showing respect, and demonstrating leadership throughout the school day. Several other Aikin Elementary students have also reached the 200 Wildcat Bucks milestone and are eagerly awaiting their turn to serve as “Principal for the Day” with Mrs. McKinney.
Aikin Elementary is proud to celebrate Keelen Carr and all students who work hard to model positive behavior and leadership on campus.
