Aikin Elementary is excited to support Habitat for Humanity in their efforts to help Marie Hill, a lead custodian at Aikin, obtain a new home. To support this cause, all of the staff members at Aikin Elementary have taken turns to provide lunch for the volunteers working on Marie’s home every Saturday.
They anticipate around 20 volunteers each Saturday, but Marion Hutchison, the director at Habitat for Humanity, keeps them updated on any changes to the schedule and the number of volunteers expected as each Saturday approaches. By providing lunch, Aikin staff aims to show their appreciation for the volunteers’ hard work and dedication. Together, they can make a significant impact in Marie Hill’s life and contribute to the community’s spirit of giving and support.
