Aiden Tye Walters, age 16, of Paris, Texas, passed away on August 15, 2025. Born and raised in Paris, Aiden was a bright light to everyone who knew him, bringing joy, laughter, and kindness wherever he went.
Aiden Tye had a love for basketball, pickleball, and fishing, and cherished every moment spent with his friends and cousins. He had just begun his junior year at Excel Christian Academy, a school he dearly loved, along with the staff and classmates who meant so much to him.
He is survived by his Mother, Amber Young; Father, Tarsay Walters and family; grandparents Michelle Widner and Danny and Karen Hoskins; and great-grandparent Lynn Sparks. Aiden’s siblings, Kylee Young and Kinsey Walters, and niece, Raelynn, will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Aiden shared a special bond with his aunt, Chandler Hoskins, and is also survived by his aunt Chelsie McKnight and uncles Colby McKnight and Cameron Widner. His cousins, Tristen Hoskins, Jay Wyatt Hoskins, and Ashton McKnight, were more like brothers to him—inseparable companions who shared countless adventures together. He also leaves behind cousins Rowen and Piper Hoskins, Karlee Ruthart and her husband Austin, and Jaycee McKnight, who all adored him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his uncle Sgt. Jay Hoskins, grandfather Detective Chris Widner, and great-grandfather Rev. James A. Sparks.
A devoted member of Gospel Lighthouse PCG, Aiden was active in the youth group and treasured his church family. His faith and the love he poured into others will remain an inspiration to all who knew him. As a small child, Aiden beat cancer after a grueling couple years of treatment when the prognosis was grim—he was a walking testimony of the miracles God still does today.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Excel Christian Academy in Aiden’s memory.
