On Wednesday evening, October 14, 2026, shortly after 10:00 p.m., officers with the Paris Police Department were on patrol in the 900 block of West Sherman Street when they observed a female riding a bicycle whom they knew to have outstanding warrants.
Officers made contact with the female and confirmed an outstanding warrant issued by the City of Paris. During a subsequent search, officers located a wallet containing identifying information belonging to another person. Further investigation and a search of the female’s belongings revealed additional items containing identifying information belonging to other individuals.
The female was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information involving 10–50 items, a second-degree felony. She was then transported to the jail for processing.
While processing the scene, officers located baggies containing suspected methamphetamine on the ground near the area where they initially contacted the female. A review of dash-camera footage showed the female discarding the baggies in an apparent attempt to conceal them from officers. As a result, she was also charged with Tampering with Evidence, a third-degree felony.
Officers made 32 traffic stops, made 3 adult arrests, and answered 57 calls for service during this reporting period.
