Three Paris Police Department officers were officially promoted to the rank of sergeant during a swearing-in ceremony Monday.
Detectives Forrest Bigler and Andrew Wahlquist, along with Patrolman Jeffrey Rico, took the oath of office Sept. 28 and were officially sworn in as sergeants by Paris City Clerk Janice Ellis.
“These promotions reflect demonstrated leadership, dedication to public safety, and successful completion of a comprehensive multi-stage promotion process,” said Paris PD online.
Co-workers and family members attended the ceremony to recognize the newly promoted sergeants.
