Three Drug-Related Arrests Made by Paris Police Department
Paris Police Department officers made three separate drug-related arrests Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at approximately 10:06 p.m., Paris Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Kaufman. During the stop, officers contacted the driver and observed a glass container in plain view that contained more than four grams of suspected THC wax.
The driver was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 4–400 grams. The driver was transported to the Lamar County Jail and processed without incident.
Later that evening, at approximately 10:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Price. During the investigation, officers searched the vehicle and located a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
The driver was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B, less than one gram, a state jail felony. The driver was transported to the Lamar County Jail and processed without incident.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, September 24, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers conducting patrol in the 3000 block of Pine Mill Road stopped a male riding a bicycle. During the contact, officers detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a search of the male.
During the search, officers located a container containing a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The male was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B, 1–4 grams, a third-degree felony.
The male was transported to the Lamar County Jail and processed without incident.
