At it’s 28th annual Fiesta Fundraiser, CASA for Kids raised more than $103,000 to support its continued work serving children in the community.
Held Aug. 29 at the Love Civic Center in Paris, the annual fundraiser drew more than 500 people for an evening of food, music, auctions and community support. The event featured catering by TaMolly’s and live entertainment from Mix Society.
Funds were raised through silent and live auctions, raffles and sponsorships from local businesses and organizations.
CASA for KIDS credited the community and its sponsors for helping make this year’s event a success, with Stackers Pickleball Club and Arca Continental/Southwest Bottling/Coca-Cola serving as underwriter sponsors after contributing at least $5,000 each.
“We are so thankful for you helping us continue to serve children in our community,” CASA for KIDS shared in announcing the fundraiser’s success.
CASA for KIDS serves the children of Lamar, Red River, and Delta Counties who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CASA for KIDS help to find, engage, and strengthen a support network for the child and family and advocate for the child/ren’s best interests by making recommendations in court.
The organization said it plans to recognize and thank additional Fiesta sponsors throughout September.
