On June 1, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue in reference to a theft at a local business. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had entered the business, stolen multiple items, and then fled on foot. Officers later located the suspect in the 200 block of NE 20th Street. The suspect was found in possession of the stolen merchandise and was taken into custody for theft.
A subsequent review of the suspect’s criminal history revealed multiple prior theft convictions, elevating the current offense to Theft of Property with Two or More Previous Convictions, a State Jail Felony.
Officers made 7 traffic stops, 4 adult arrests, and answered 91 calls for service during this reporting period.
