Paris High School students are once again making their mark at the state level, showcasing exceptional talent, dedication, and real-world skills through their participation in the SkillsUSA State Competition.
In the Photography Job Exhibit category, seniors Lindsey Holleman and Clary Biard earned the highest possible rating—an outstanding accomplishment that reflects both their creativity and technical expertise. Their work stood out among top competitors from across the state, representing the excellence of Paris High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
“We are incredibly proud of Lindsey and Clary,” said Photography teacher Jennifer Cook. “Their work demonstrates not only strong technical skills, but also creativity, vision, and a commitment to excellence that truly sets them apart.”
Additionally, Ava Johnson was recognized for her achievement in advancing to the state competition. While final placement results are still pending, her willingness to compete at this level highlights her dedication and growth as a student in the photography program.
Paris High School’s Automotive program also delivered an impressive performance at the state competition. Students Jose De La Cruz Garcia, Ramon Gonzalez, Aaron Crumpler, and Matthew Koenig collaborated on an extensive Job Exhibit focused on a rear-wheel drive differential. Their project, which involved a complete rebuild of the differential, earned the highest award possible as well as the prestigious Best of Show honor.
“This project represents the kind of hands-on, real-world learning our students experience every day,” said Automotive teacher Jim Hyatt. “The level of detail, teamwork, and technical skill these students demonstrated is truly exceptional, and earning Best of Show is a testament to their hard work.”
Additional student achievements in the Automotive division include Jayden McQuay, who competed at the state level in Automotive Tool Identification, and Aaron Crumpler, who also competed in the hands-on Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair competition.
Through both the Photography and Automotive pathways, Paris High School continues to provide students with opportunities to develop career-ready skills while excelling in competitive environments. These accomplishments reflect the strength of the district’s CTE programs and the dedication of both students and educators.
Paris ISD congratulates all of these students for representing Wildcat Nation with pride and excellence on the state stage.
