The Credit Union of Texas is once again hosting a Goat Yoga fundraiser for the United Way of Lamar County on Saturday, May 9th in Bywaters Park in downtown Paris.
There are three sessions available and space is limited to 25 participants per session. Tickets are $35 and include a 45 minute yoga session with baby and toddler goats, free breakfast from the CUTX food truck, free flowers for Mother’s Day, and free coffee from Paris Coffee Company. Executive Director of the United Way of Lamar County stated, “This is such a fun event and we are so grateful that the Credit Union of Texas is holding this fundraiser for us again this year. It’s the perfect activity for Mother’s Day and each year we see a lot of mothers and daughters (and sons) or just mom friends coming out and having a great time! The gentle yoga class is perfect for all levels and the goats are so fun!”
All proceeds from this fundraiser go to support the programs of United Way of Lamar County, which funds 19 partner agencies and offers rent and utility assistance, a diaper bank and mini food pantries. They also host a monthly autism support group, run the annual Kids Marathon and Texas Scholars events and offer five college scholarships each spring.
