Verlene Faye (Wadford) Wilburn, 89, of Paris, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her home.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31st at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Burial will be made in Providence Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilburn, the daughter of Charlie Wadford and Elizabeth Asbery Wadford, was born March 20, 1937, in Lamar County.
Her career with Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting spanned 32 years before her retirement. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Verlene enjoyed volunteering at L. P. McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Stanton Jay Jackson, and a sister, Ruth Exum and husband Charles. Survivors include a son, Stephen Ray Jackson along with several grandchildren and a host of friends.
