Greg Simpson, 58, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Paris Regional Health.
Services are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 rd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00-4:30 p.m.
Greg, the son of Jimmy Simpson and Sharon Kay Adams Simpson, was born Aug. 13, 1967, in Paris, TX.
He graduated from Paris High School and attended Paris Junior College. Greg had a love for animals and was an avid supporter of the animal shelter and the Lamar County Humane Association. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and especially traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Simpson and Sharon Kay and Don Webb.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Cockrum Simpson, whom he married on Feb. 2, 1996, building 30 years of memories, four children, Josh Thomas Green, Jessica Hardin, Ryan Simpson, and Austin Simpson, three grandchildren, Isabell Green, Morgan Hardin, and Billy Hardin, Jr. and two brothers, Dewayne Simpson and wife Johanna and Michael Webb along with many friends.
