On Feb. 11, Officers responded to a Burglary of a Vehicle in the 1000 block of Deshong Dr. The victim advised that between the hours of 05:40 and 07:30 some unknown subject entered his unlocked pickup on the parking lot of a facility at the location and stole his handgun, wallet, and contents including cash and credit cards. The investigation is ongoing.
On Feb. 12, Officers responded on patrol in the 600 block of E Houston at approximately 01:00 heard what appeared to be an explosion in the area and observed sparks emitting from overhead electrical lines. Officers located fragments of what appeared to have been an improvised explosive device in the area of a vacant lot. No injuries were detected or reported and no further damage other than to the device and it’s contents was noted. Evidence was collected and Criminal Investigations will be following up on the incident.
Officers made 15 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 100 calls for service during this reporting period.
