Richard Lee Rodgers, 78, of Blossom, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at his home.
The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Saturday, Feb. 7th from 2-4 pm. A family directed memorial services is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14th at Shady Grove Cemetery with Jeff Jones officiating.
Richard, the son of Leonard and Hazel Doyal, was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Paris, TX. He attended North Lamar High School. Richard owned and operated Rodgers Heating and Air Conditioning for many years. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed riding side x sides.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Peggy Rodgers, a granddaughter, Sharry Lee Stowell, and a son-in-law, Timmy Faulkner. Survivors include his wife, Nita Jones Fowler Rodgers, children, Richard Rodgers and wife Lindsey, Lese Stowell and husband Brad, and Lynnette Lester and husband John, step-children, Brad Griffin and wife Amber, Cody Sullivan, and Wesley Sullivan, grandchildren, Kacey Fields and husband Jonathan, Richard Rodgers, Jr., Justin Rodgers, Colby Fields, Kaiden Rodgers, Trinity Rodgers, Ashely Looney and husband Travis, Steven Lee Phillips wife Dylan, Courtney Leeann Stowell and fiancé Jared Teague, Katlin Mae Webb, Crystal Cato and husband Trevor, Kayla Rodgers, Garrett Lester, Bradlee Rodgers, Shelby Beaty, Conor Lester, Brianna Lester, and Dakota Faulkner, step-grandchildren, Brittney Griffin, Bradley Griffin, Jr., Brianna Griffin, Blake Griffin, Brandon Griffin, Bentley Griffin, Callie Sullivan, and Reilie Sullivan, numerous great grandchildren, two sisters, Melinda Roden and Alice Faye Sterling and husband Carles and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
