Students at Aaron Parker Elementary put curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking on full display during this year’s campus Science Fair, and the results were nothing short of impressive. After weeks of research, experimentation, and presentation practice, several young scientists have earned the opportunity to represent Aaron Parker at the upcoming Regional Science Fair next month.
Leading the way are two campus champions whose projects stood out among a strong field of competitors. Myla Morris earned top honors with her project, “Activated Carbon: A ‘Fanta’tastic’ Color Remover,” an engaging experiment exploring how activated carbon can remove color from liquids. Easton Creamer also claimed a champion spot with “Who Would Win? Water Retention War,” a project that compared materials and their ability to retain water.
In addition to the champions, Aaron Parker is proud to recognize the following finalists whose projects demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, and scientific curiosity:
- Camdyn Malone – Spring into Science
- Kannan Johnson – What’s on the Hog Menu?
- Kaleb Boyden – Are Wii Overcharged?
- Kathryn Wilhelm – Science is Sweet
- Alex Barnett – Sonic’s Flying Burger Battle
- Cassius Malone – Plant Growth and Music
- Hector Huerta-Sandoval – What’s Poppin’
- Kynslee Simington – Distance vs. Height: Cheer Edition
Science Fair attendees also voted for their favorite projects, naming Alex Barnett’s “Sonic’s Flying Burger Battle” and Bryce Williams’ “Unpoppable Bubble” as this year’s Fan Favorites.
Aaron Parker Elementary is proud of all students who participated in the Science Fair. Each project reflected hours of hard work, curiosity, and a willingness to ask big questions. We wish our champions and finalists the best of luck as they prepare to compete at the Regional Science Fair and continue their journey as young scientists.
