On Jan. 2, Officers arrested Ke’Travion Deshon Holman (26) of Soper Oklahoma on an outstanding warrant for Theft over $100.00 but less than $750.00. The arrest originated in a July 2025 incident in which Holman is accused of breaking a glass case at a business in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue and stealing a video gaming system as well as a microwave. Investigation by Paris Criminal Investigations Division provided evidence for the procurement of a warrant. Holman denied any warrants, and denied his name was that of the suspect. He was taken into custody, booked and taken to Lamar County Jail.
On Jan. 3, Officers were notified of an assault occurring in the 500 block of SW 1st. They responded and made contact with the 59 year old victim to advised that his girlfriend/roommate had assaulted him by striking him with a metal object and cutting him with a knife. The victim had obvious injuries to his face and hands. Officers contacted the suspect, Melissa Kay Keisler (48) of Paris. Upon investigation, officers placed Keisler under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Felony. Keisler was booked and placed in jail.
On Jan. 3, Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 2000 block of Fitzhugh St. for a traffic offense. The driver was identified as Aaliyah O’Canas (27) of Paris. O’Canas was found to have numerous warrants for Felony Credit Card Abuse with Elderly Victim. She was arrested without incident and transferred to county jail.
On Jan. 3, Officers arrested Camillia Miacalla Perry in the 1800 block of NE Loop 286 after going to a residence in the area on a warrant service. Upon contact with Perry, officers asked her name. Perry gave a false name several times. She was arrested for the warrant (Parole Violation) as well as Fail to ID as a Fugitive from Justice. She was booked and taken to county jail.
On Jan. 3, Officers investigated a Burglary of Habitation in the 1600 block of Ballard Drive. A suspect, known to the victim, had entered the victim’s residence without permission and taken alcohol and cash. The victim showed officers evidence implicating the known suspect in the crime. A report was taken, evidence was collected and a warrant will be forthcoming.
On Jan. 3, Officers investigated an alleged assault in the 2200 block of E. Polk Street. The victim advised that a known suspect entered the residence without permission and assaulted him. Other allegations were that the suspect took another resident’s purse when leaving after the assault. Officer’s made contact with the suspect at another location and after interviewing all subjects made no arrest. The incident remains under investigation.
On Jan. 4, Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Main in regards to a theft. Complainant told officers, and showed a video of Darrel Wayne Buhrmester (49) entering the store, buying cigarettes, and then taking a lighter and two alcoholic beverages without paying for them. Buhrmester was located in the 200 block of Pine Bluff, still in possession of the stolen property. Buhrmester was found to have three prior convictions for theft. He was arrested and charged with Theft under $750.00 with 2 or more prior convictions. Buhrmester was booked and taken to county jail without incident.
On Jan. 4, Officers investigated a Burglary of a Residence in the 3100 block of Clarksville. A victim had been out of town and returned after being notified of a broken window to her residence. The victim discovered that medications, laptop computers, suitcases and other containers as well as jewelry had been stolen. The victim provided officers with information on a possible suspect and the incident remains under investigation.
Officers made 149 traffic stops, 13 adult arrest, and answered 265 calls for service during this reporting period.
