Michael Arthur Folmar passed away on December 29, 2025.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home . Officiants will be Zoel Kelly and Shane Kelly. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jordan Rushing, Westin Wible, Cody Kelly, Chris Justiss, Brandon Morrison and Hagen Brooks.
He was born on July 11, 1941, in Sulphur Springs, TX to Raymon Jeff Folmar and Ada Faye Penny Folmar. Mike married Diane on August 5, 1966. He was a member and elder of the Paris Church of Christ where he devoted time teaching people about God. He worked for the State of Texas and retired as Assistant Regional Administrator. He held offices in the Kiwanis New Day club of Paris, The Lamar County Fair Board, and the Paris City Council and coached softball. He was an active community member.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Folmar; daughters, Davlyn Evans of Paris, Devri Wible and partner Rebecca Rufial of Paris, Julie Folmar of Corsicana, Alexandra Brooks and husband Hagen of Lindale; son, Devin Folmar and wife Chloe of McKinney; grandchildren include Jordan Rushing of Paris, Westin Wible and wife Audrey of Greenville, Canaan Evans of McKinney, Eden Evans of Paris; also survived by his sister, Gay Folmar of Yantis. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wallace Folmar, Ronard Folmar and Farlan Folmar.
