The Paris Public Library is pleased and grateful to announce the receipt of a significant donation from the estate of Jo Lorraine “Lorrie” Rhodes, which will aid the library’s longevity and supplement its program offerings.
Rhodes was a Paris native who devoted her life to serving others as a nurse and Nurse Practitioner. She also worked in higher education, including serving 30 years as a professor at the UT Arlington School of Nursing.
“This generous gift will help extend the mission of the library,” Library Director Connie Lawman said. “I look forward to working with the Library Advisory Board and expanding what the library offers through this donation.”
Lawman also stated that the contribution will be acknowledged by a plaque to be displayed in the library.
The Paris Public Library is located at 326 S. Main St and is open to the public Monday through Saturday. Visit www.ParisTexas.gov/Library for hours and more information.
