Carol Gene Stone, 80, of Paris, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Heritage House of Paris.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Williams and Tracy Attebury officiating. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Carol, the daughter of G. C. Little & Kathryn Fowler Little, was born Nov. 17, 1944, in Minter, TX.
She graduated from Cunningham High School as Salutatorian of her class. Carol worked at Campbell Soup and Hollywood Vassarette before beginning a career with Paris Sewing. Later she did sewing from her home. An avid gardener, Carol loved the outdoors and fishing. Family was the most important thing in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G. C. and Kathryn Little, two husbands, James “Jimmy” Moss and Gene Stone, a sister, Helen Marsh, and a brother-in-law, Jim Tieszen.
Survivors include two children, Tony Bivens and wife Deborah of KY and Tami Attebury and husband Tracy of Paris, siblings, Betty White of Cibolo, Martha Tieszen of Denton, Gaylon Little and wife LaQuita of Paris, Pat Johnson of Paris, Phyllis Mazy of Paris and Kim Williams and husband Lynn of Paris, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews along with a plethora of friends.
The family would like to express gratitude to her special caregivers at Heritage House of Paris and to Diana Shefts at Waterford Hospice for their care and support.
Casket bearers will be: Jeff Battey, Zach Bivens, Tye Bivens, Tyler Attebury, Ethan Borders, and Ronnie Wright.
