North Lamar ISD’s Bright Beginnings program continues to welcome families of young children to campus for fun, hands-on learning and community connection. Designed for parents with children ages 3–5, Bright Beginnings is open to all families in the North Lamar community—children do not have to be enrolled in Pre-K to attend.
At recent meetings, families created “I Spy” sensory bottles, promoting kindergarten readiness through play-based learning that builds early literacy, observation, and fine motor skills. Parents also had the chance to connect with one another and grow more familiar with their child’s future school campus.
Upcoming April meeting dates are:
-
Aaron Parker Elementary – Monday, April 22, from 9:00–10:00 a.m.
-
Higgins Elementary – Wednesday, April 24, from 9:00–10:00 a.m.
Bright Beginnings provides a warm, supportive environment for parents to bond with their children, meet other families, and learn strategies that support school success—all before kindergarten even begins.
North Lamar ISD is proud to offer programs that support early learners and their families through connection, creativity, and campus readiness.
