Officers were led on a foot chase early Thursday afternoon when an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 700 block of NE 6th Street and the driver fled the scene on foot.
According to police, the officer began initiating the traffic at about 2:15 p.m. on April 28 with a grey Honda Civic due to no brake light. The subject fled the scene on foot, and the officer chased them before losing sight of them.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a lunch meat container with “multiple baggies of marijuana, another clear baggie containing multiple white pills, another clear baggie containing multiple pills in the shapes of a ghost and a skull.”
Officers matched a prior arrest photo with the name on papers inside the vehicle, and warrants for three drug charges and Evading Arrest Detention will be issued for the subject. No name of the subject was released.
