Paris Police located and arrested 24 year old Raven Chardae Jordan, of Paris, in the 1000 block of SE 8th St at 3:09 P.M. on January 28, 2022. Jordan was known to have outstanding misdemeanor warrants. A later investigation revealed that Jordan was in possession of a stolen firearm and marijuana. Jordan was charged with theft of a firearm and possession of marijuana. Jordan was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 2000 block of N Main St at 4:04 P.M. on January 28, 2022 when it was observed by the officer to not stop for a school bus that was displaying red flashing lights and was stopped to drop off children. The driver, 43 year old Denoval Dawayne Grant, of Hugo, Oklahoma, was found to have an outstanding Texas Parole violation warrant. Grant was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police arrested Mark Edward Russell, 43, in the 800 block of Deshong Dr. at 8:02 P.M. on January 28, 2022. Russell had been a patient in the ER and was causing a disturbance. Russell told officers that he had an outstanding felony warrant out of California. The warrant was confirmed and Russell was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 1200 blokc of NE 20th St at 5:34 A.M. on January 29, 2022. The victim reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle and had stolen a pistol and the key to their vehicle. The victim called the police later in the day and reported that they had recovered the pistol and the key. The incident is under investigation.
A vehicle was reported to have been burglarized in the 1500 block of E Price St at 6:21 A.M. on January 29, 2022. The victim reported that two pistols were stolen from the vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
At 11:30 A.M. on January 29, 2022, Paris Police met with the victims of a fraud in the Police Department lobby that had occurred in the 1300 block of NE 17th St. The victims reported that they had purchased a camper trailer on-line and had placed a deposit on it. The trailer was supposed to be in the 1300 block of NE 17th St but the victims found that there was not a camper trailer at that location. The known suspect has not been located. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to a robbery in the 2500 block of N Main St at 3:31 P.M. on January 29, 2022. The victim reported that two males threatened to assault him and stole his wallet. The incident is under investigation.
Aaron Ramon Ethridge was arrested in the 200 block of Pine Bluff St at 8:57 P.M. on January 29, 2022. Ethridge was observed on a property in the 200 block of Pine Bluff St where he had been criminally trespassed from in the past. Ethridge ran from the officer but was apprehended after a short footchase. Ethridge was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance of more than 1 gram and possession of marijuana. Ethridge was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to 245 calls for service and arrested 12 persons over the weekend ending at midnight on January 27, 2022.
