Global Home Imports has issued a recall of its HR platform bed frames due to the possibility of serious injuries.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Global Home Imports has received 100 reports of these frames collapsing, however, no reports of injuries have been made.
These units have been sold by American Furniture Warehouse, Mattress Firm alongside other furniture and mattress stores nationwide from April 2020 through January 2021 for about $200.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled HR Platform Frames and contact Global Home Imports to receive a free repair kit with metal clips to strengthen the frame. Global Home Imports will ship a kit directly to consumers free of charge.”
Platform bed frame models under the Bed Tech brand being recalled include:
- HR33
- HR33XL
- HR46
- HR50
- HR60
- HR66.
These models consist of twin, twin xl, full, queen, king, California king.
The 14-digit serial number beginning with HR can be found on an outside leg.
