The 8th Annual Detroit FFA Spring Plant Sale has been set for Apr. 2-5 at the Detroit High School Greenhouse.
“Detroit Greenhouse students have planted, raised, propagated, and prepared for our annual sale,” said Tracy Denny – Detroit Ag Dept.
Some of the plants available for purchase include succulents, Christmas cactus, cactus, ivy, hostas, aloe vera, geranium scented citronella, and snake plants.
Medium and large ferns incl. Boston, macho, sword, fox tail, and asparagus.
10 inch Pots and Hanging Baskets incl. Geraniums, Supertunias, Giant Supertunias, Impatiens, Various Jews, and Verbena.
There will be three varieties of Potato Vines and over 3,000 vegetable plants in 6-packs and more.
Proceeds go to the Detroit Greenhouse Program, Scholarships, and DHS Community Garden.
To get to the Detroit High School Greenhouse – take Hwy 410 N nd turn left on Union Street before the High School – SE of HS Gym.
The greenhouse will be open on Apr. 2 from 3-7 p.m., Apr. 3 & 4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Apr. 5 from 8 a.m. to 12p.m.
