2020 Game Warden Youth Camp accepting applications

If you are a youth between the ages of 14 to 18 and want to be a Game Warden this camp is for you.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas Chenier Plain National Wildlife Refuge Complex will be hosting the annual Youth Game Warden Camp for individuals between the ages of 14 – 18 years old who are interested in the duties of a Conservation Law Enforcement Officer.

This three day camp will include: waterfowl identification and regulations, reptile and amphibian identification and illicit trade, fish identification and regulations, fishing and hunting compliance checks, deer decoy operations, K9 use in conservation law enforcement, and special guest speakers.

Federal Wildlife Officers and Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens will be instructing and mentoring the three day program.

Camp will run daily from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, June 10th-12th, 2020.

Fee for the three day camp is $125 and covers cost of course materials, hat, t-shirt, lunch, snacks, drinks, Challenge coin, and completion certificate. Scholarship available (need based).
