The 100 Club of Lamar County would have ended their Match Campaign over the past few months with more than $11,250. However, the benefactor contributed more to the organization than originally planned.
The 100 Club of Lamar County announced a total of $5,625.45 was contributed to the organization through its Match Campaign over the past few months in new memberships, renewals and donations.
The original match would have brought the total to $11,250.90.
However, the benefactor who approached the 100 Club of Lamar County with the $50,000 match donated the entire $50,000, bringing the total to $55,625.45.
“Thank you to all who supported the 100 Club of Lamar County over this campaign and thank you to all who have supported the Club in the past,” 100 Club of Lamar County President Bob Hundley said. “Words cannot express the thankfulness for the $50,000 donation. This will support the families of Lamar County’s First Responders when they most need it.”
