Tony Lee Copeland, 61, of Sumner passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, with William Madewell, officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service from noon until 2 p.m.
Tony was born July 3, 1956, in Paris a son of Hurshel Ray (Pete) Copeland and Billie Ruth Gregg Copeland. He retired from Paris Independent School District as the maintenance director with 26 years of service. He loved riding motorcycles, being in the country and especially being with family. He was a member of the Paris Biker Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Hurshel Copeland.
He is survived by his children Justin Copeland and wife Jill, Chance Copeland and spouse Lacy, Victoria Copeland, Valorie Copeland; grandchildren Abbigail Copeland, Hunter Wood, Charity Wood, Aaryiah Crostley, Daylan Copeland, Breonna Gilbert, Zoey Copeland, Makenzie Lewis, Lillian Copeland; his mother Billie Ruth Copeland; adopted son Lawrence Francis and wife Katie, their children Lawrence Francis III, Jean Francis, Alex Francis; sister Sandra Williams and husband Henry; Aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and an only uncle Harmon Dewayne Gregg from Missouri.
