This holiday season will be slightly different, as Walmart experimented last year with closing some of its stores’ layaway, the retail giant announced layaway will not be offered in any of its stores this year.
“We’ve learned a lot in the past year as our customers’ needs and shopping habits have changed,” a Walmart spokesperson said in a release.
The company removed its seasonal layaway from most of its stores during the last holiday season.
“… based on what we learned, we are confident that our payment options provide the right solutions for our customers,” they continued.
This alternate way of paying allows customers immediate access to the products while paying over time.
