Construction is underway for Bogata’s upcoming Travel Plaza and Sonic.
Sam Azam, alongside his older brother Moe, said his scale of excitement, “of 1-10, I’m at a 12.
“My brother Moe and I started a business in Bogata a few years ago – Stop and Start,” Sam said. “I’m definitely at a 12 now, because I have nothing but support from this town and it’s not something you get from everywhere.”
Sam said the Travel Plaza will feature a drive-thru, alongside a dine-in area, which could bring in about 15-20 more jobs.
“To me, it’s not about success, it’s about the town,” Sam said. “Without the town, there would be no success for me nor my brother, honestly.”
Sam said the investment isn’t about himself, or his brother, but about the town and the community who stay there.
“I just want to thank the city of Bogata – the mayor, the police department, every citizen that supported us and our business throughout these hard times,” he continued. “All I can say is, it’s going to be one of the biggest and best truck stops here in the Bogata area. We’re definitely going to put Bogata on the map for new investors. They will see that we invest a lot of money here and get good results back with it.”
