Three local officers receive life-saving equipment thanks to generous donor

Three new Paris Police Officers have received potentially life-saving equipment thanks to a generous donor.

Glee Emmite of Bee Sweet Paris Gifts made the donation to Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop who bought level-4 vests and ballistic helmets for Officer Logan FountainOfficer Jeff Rico, and Officer William Penny.

Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop aims to ensure every officer in Lamar County is equipped with potentially life-saving equipment and relies on donations to do so.

“This equipment will help protect them in case of an active shooter situation or other high-risk calls,” said the president of the organization Amanda Willows. “Words can’t express how thankful we are for these very special gifts for our officers.
