The City of Amarillo has turned to the public in hopes of identifying a strange object/creature that they captured on camera outside the Amarillo Zoo.
Is it a person in a costume, a coyote walking on its rear legs or something more fabled?
The “UAO – Unidentified Amarillo Object” was captured on May 21 around 1:25 a.m. and officials said there we re no signs of burglary, nor were any animals or individuals harmed.
City of Amarillo (COA) Director of Parks and Recreation Michael Kashuba said because there were no signs of criminal activity or vandalism, they are letting the public off ideas on what the UAO might be “in the spirit of fun and curiosity.”
“We just want to let the Amarillo community have some fun with this,” Kashuba added. “It is definitely a strange and interesting image. Maybe Amarillo can help solve the mystery of our UAO.”
“Clearly it is Rocket the Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy,” said one person.
Another wrote, “I can’t believe nobody recognized what this is. It’s Splinter looking for the ninja turtles!”
Whatever it is, it is a mystery.
