Reno’s Summer Celebration and Hamburger Cook-off has been set for June 26 at the Reno Kiwanis Park from 12 p.m. till dark.
The family-friendly event will feature live music by Mix Society, local vendors, Kona Ice, The Chocolate Kettle, the Brew Crue, bounce houses, water slides, foam machine, face painting, wrestling show by American Pride Championship Wrestling, and a fireworks show courtesy of Reno Fireworks.
“We will be having a hamburger cook-off befitting the Reno Volunteer Fire Department. The burgers will be sold to the public for $10 while they last and comes with chips and a drink,” said an event organizer.
Schedule of events will be as follows:
4-6 p.m.: American Pride Championship Wrestling
5 p.m.: Hamburger Contest Judging
5:30 p.m.: Hamburger Contest Winners Announced
6 p.m.: Burgers go on sale to the public
5 – 8 p.m.: Face Painting by Siren Soul & more
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Live music by Mix Society
Sundown: FIREWORKS!!!!
Attendees can park at two locations: Reno Kiwanis Park located at 6800 Pine Mill Road or 450 Anderson Road in Reno.
