Reno’s Fifth Annual ’Twas the Lights Before Christmas Christmas Decorating Contest is underway.
Contest categories include:
- The Clark Griswold Award (Most likely to be visible from space)
- Best traditional display
- Most original display
- Best animated/computerized display

CONTEST RULES:
- Contestants must be in the city limits of Reno and registered by midnight, December 17, 2022. Reno citizens can sign up to be on the tour map after that date, but will not be eligible for prizes.
- By registering for the contest, contestants agree to have their addresses added to the public “Twas the Lights Before Christmas” tour map and for photos of their displays to be taken and posted on social media.
- Displays must be visible at night from the roadway and must be family-friendly.
- Judging will take place between the hours of 6-8 p.m., Dec. 20-23. Winners will be announced on the Reno Parks and Trail FB page on December 24 at 2 p.m.
- Only one prize can be won per household.
The City of Reno is not responsible for any damage or loss of any display associated with this contest.
