Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue is set to host its Pumpkins and Pets adoption event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and they will have chiweenie puppies, dogs and cats available for adoption.
Alongside the adoption event, the organization will have a silent auction fundraiser to help raise money to ensure the animals receive the needed vetting.
“Come see us and find your fur-ever friend,” Adoption Coordinator Sheri Ashford said, “and start your Christmas shopping early at our Silent auction/BGAR Fundraiser. There’s something for everyone.”
The Pumpkins and Pets adoption and auction event will be at All Things Coffee and Books, 138 Lamar Ave., during Saturday’s Pumpkin Festival.

About Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue from its website:
Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue in Paris, Texas, founded in 2018 is a 501(3)c non-profit animal rescue dedicated to saving one paw at a time… big or small. Baby Gunn’s was started in loving memory of sweet Gunny. Gunny was adopted from a shelter as a puppy into the best family ever and instantly became best friends with his owner’s little boy Alden, he was his first dog. Out of nowhere one-day Gunny fell ill.
After multiple tests were run the results came back heartbreaking…at only 6 years young Gunny was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Less than two weeks after being diagnosed his condition worsened and his family made the heartbreaking decision to help him cross over the rainbow bridge.
Though his life was short, Gunny brought so much joy and love to his family and his best friend Alden who he literally grew up with. Our goal is to honor Gunny’s memory by giving all the dogs and cats that come through our door the same chance at a great life like Gunny had…because they all deserve it.
Some items up for auction include:
- A Rolling Stones 1999 limited edition lithographic print used on their 1999 world tour;
