A Paris woman has been indicted for first-degree felony murder and second-degree felony assault by a Lamar County grand jury.
Lilandria Shiaire Bell, 34, of Paris, was indicted Oct. 13 on one count of first-degree felony murder, and second-degree felony assault.
According to police reports, Bell admitted to officers she shot two females, killing one on Aug 12, 2022.
“This was another senseless and unnecessary tragedy, not only for the families involved but for the Paris community,” said Paris Police Chief Richard Salter when Bell was first charged. “On behalf of the Paris Police Department, we offer our sincere condolences to the victim’s family.”
At the time of the incident, officers responded to a shots fired call in the 300 block of E. Grove St. at about 12:15 a.m. and found a 39-year-old female laying deceased in the yard.
“Officers arrested 34 year old Lilandria Shiaire Bell, of Paris, and charged her with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she admitted to the officers that she was the person that shot the two females,” according to a Paris Police Department press release.
