Detectives with the Paris Police Department located and arrested 30 year old Dustin Wayne Mackey, of Honey Grove, Texas, on a parole violation warrant in the 3500 block of NE Loop 286 at 8:48 A.M. on January 21, 2022. Mackey was also found to have an outstanding federal probation violation warrant. Also located at the same location was 26 year old Taylor Nicole Anderson. Anderson was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Anderson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Bradley Deen Scott, 38, of Paris, was arrested at the Paris District Parole Office on January 21, 2022 on a parole violation warrant. Scott was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police met with two victims of a theft at the Police Department at 12:30 P.M. on January 23, 2022. The two victims reported that a known 18 year old female had obtained their banking information and had transferred funds out of their accounts. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to the 200 block of Pine Bluff St at 1:22 P.M. on January 23, 2022 in reference to a fight in progress. Paris Police arrested 54 year old Jeffery Wayne Haley, of Paris, when it was reported that Haley struck a 36 year old female with a 2X4 piece of wood. Haley was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Lamar Ave at 6:41 P.M. on January 23, 2022 for an expired registration. During the investigation, the front passenger, 32 year old jasmine Denise Carr, of Paris, was found to be in possession of more than 1 gram of methamphetamine. Carr was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail
Paris Police responded to a burglar alarm at 1:11 A.M. on January 24, 2022 in the 2400 block of Lamar Ave. Officers discovered that a window had been broken and merchandise from the store had been dropped outside the store. Officer made sure that no one was inside the store and found evidence that two males had broken the window and had entered the store. The two unknown males than grabbed approximately $400 worth of merchandise and fled the store. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to 210 calls for service and arrested 14 persons over the weekend ending at midnight on January 23, 2022.
