Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:17am: Paris Police Officers responded to the 2500 block of North Main Street. Employees advised they had called 9-1-1 because a female was inside a hotel bathroom screaming for help. Officers entered a hotel room and observed a female inside the bathroom with a crack pipe laying on the floor next to her foot as she continued screaming for help and stating that she was scared. 25-year-old Akella Keyshana Nichole Watson of Idabel Oklahoma was booked into the Paris Jail until the influence runs its course enough to stand for a mugshot and be transferred to the Lamar County Jail, where she faces 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, namely Cocaine and Methamphetamine.
Monday, December 19, 2022 at 3:48pm: Paris Police Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of North Main Street to a shoplifter call. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with 33- year-old Chantez Dashaa Washington of Paris, who stated that he went into the store, stole a beer and walked out with it so that he could go back to jail. The clerk wanted to pursue charges. Washington was arrest and booked into the Paris Jail for Theft of Property <$2500 2 or More Previous Convictions.
Monday, December 19, 2022 at 6:45pm: Paris Police Officer made contact with 38-yearold Mindy Marie Widener of Deport in the 100 block of NE 17th Street while investigating a possible disturbance. Widener was checked through Dispatch and returned wanted on a Felony Burglary of a Habitation warrant out of the Paris Police Department where she had taken a generator from inside an enclosed garage last month.
Monday, December 19, 2022: The Paris Police Department responded to 63 calls for service and arrested 3 adult persons.
