The Paris Municipal Band continues the 2022 summer showcase season with another performance Friday night at Bywater’s Park in Downtown Paris.
With the expected summer heat, it is recommended to bring some water alongside a lawn chair and a hunger for music.
Highlights from June 17 show:
“We had people playing in the band from Hugo, Oklahoma; Dekalb, Texas; Clarksville, Texas; and Pittsburg, Texas; as well as many local players,” said director Joe Watson. “We even had a baritone player from Washington state playing in the low brass section. It’s great seeing many returning players along with lots of new players.”
The Paris Municipal Band will begin warming up at about 8:20 p.m., with the performance to start at 8:30 p.m.
The expected forecast for Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service, includes a mostly clear sky with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
