On Thursday, Paris EMS Paramedic Jason Dyess addressed the Higher Education Committee in Austin to show Paris EMS support for HB582, which would offer Texas Paramedics an exemption for tuition and fees from State Colleges for certification and continuing education.
This bill, introduced by House Representative Cole, would give Paramedics the same exemptions as Firefighters and Law Enforcement.
“Paris EMS continues to stand out as a leader amongst rural EMS’s in the State of Texas combatting COVID-19 and future medical challenges,” said interim EMS Director Russell Thrasher. “I am very proud to have him as a leader in my department.”
