As the weather begins to cool, chili pots start warming up. and Novice Volunteer Fire Department is set to host their 2019 Annual Chili and Stew Supper on Nov. 1.
The day will kick off at 12 p.m., with plenty of warm food to choose from including; turkey chili, mild, medium or hot beef chili, stew, frito chili pie, hot dogs and of course some delicious homemade desserts.
To enjoy a meal it will cost $8 for 12-years old and up, $4 for ages 4-11 years old, and children under 4-years old are FREE.
The event will run through to 8 p.m. on the Friday night and accompanying the winter favorite menu will be a dessert auction and of course door prizes for those that head out to Novice to support the local VFD.
A raffle for a Model 110 Savage Apex Predator 6.5 Creedmore with Vortex CrossFire 4x12x44 Scope with Hard Case and Sling, will also be available through buying tickets. Don’t worry you don’t have to be present to win, You can purchase a single ticket for $1 or six tickets for $5. Winner must be 18-years or older to pass a background check.
The event will be held at their fire house located at 13834 FM 195.
