Due to E.Coli contamination, more than 120,000 pounds of ground beef have been recalled, announced the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Services. The organization said Lakeside Refrigerated Services issued the recall of about 120,870 pounds of ground beef that could be contaminated with E. Coli O103, a rare Shira-toxin producing E. Coli with the potential of causing serious illness.
The products produced from Feb. 1, 2022, through April 8, 2022, are impacted. The raced products have the number EST. 46841 inside the USDA marked inspection and were shipped nationwide. This recall impacts roll stock and patties, in various sizes. Brands impacted include SEG and Thomas Farms, and others. A list of impacted product codes can be found here. Consumers who purchased impacted products are urged to not consume the beef; instead, throw them away or return to where they were purchased.
