Leslie Tucker, Jr. 70, of Powderly, passed away peacefully at 4:30 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. A graveside service is set for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Bro. Bryan Mackey officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Leslie was born March 29, 1949 in the Atlas Community to Leslie “Buddy” Tucker, Sr. and Rosa Lee Turpin Tucker. He married Kathy Kitchens on July 21, 1968 in Paris. Mr. Tucker was a mechanic and shop foreman for Williams Brothers for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Tucker; two sons, Richard Tucker and wife, Cindy and Shane Tucker; six grandchildren, R.J. Tucker and wife, Laura, Claudia, Callie, Connor, Colby, and Cheyenne Tucker; one great-granddaughter, Emilee Tucker; siblings, Kathy Thompson and husband, Billy and Steve Tucker and wife, Susan; an aunt, Evalean Goley; in-laws, Sherry Campbell and husband, Jim, Karen Patterson and husband, Johnny, Billy Upchurch and husband, Mike, and Sonya Spray and husband, Rick; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents; an uncle, Dewey Turpin; a grandmother, Daisy Ingram; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Ruby Kitchens.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Callie, Connor, Colby, R.J., and Claudia Tucker.
