Anyone looking to vote in the November general election has time to register as the last day to register to vote is Oct. 11.
To register in Texas you must:
- be a citizen of the United States
- be a resident of the county in which the application for registration is made
- be at least 17 years and 10 months old (you must be 18 to vote)
- not be finally convicted of a felony, or if a convicted felon, you must have fully discharged your punishment, including any incarceration, parole, supervision, period of probation or be pardoned
- have not been declared mentally incompetent by final judgment of a court of law

The first day of early voting for the November general election is Oct. 24 and the last day for early voting is Nov. 4. The hours are Monday, Oct. 24-Friday, Oct. 28, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday Oct. 29 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Monday, Oct. 31-Nov. 4, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Voting hours on Election Day, Nov. 8, is from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
The last day to receive a ballot by mail is on Oct. 28.

Applications for Ballot by Mail and Federal Postcard Applications, must be received no later than the close of business on Oct. 22, 2022.
