Kiwanis of Paris’ Pancake Days tentatively set for Oct. 8-9

Kiwanis Pancake Days

Thousands of pancake lovers rejoice as Kiwanis Pancake Days returns as Kiwanis Club of Paris announced its tentative serving days, Oct. 8-9.

“We are thrilled to have a date for Pancake Days,” Kiwanis of Paris President Jimmy Steed said enthusiastically.

As the tradition came to a halt in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns, the organization announced this year’s pancake days is expected to be in October.

“Our community event has taken place every March, and due to COVID we had to cancel last year and this March as well,” Steed said.

When the Kiwanis Club of Paris began serving pancakes, they fed about 300 people. However, now the numbers have grown to more than 10,000. In 2018, more than 11,000 were served during Kiwanis Pancake Days.

All Kiwanis project funds are utilized for improving our community, and particularly supporting youth. Examples include Education Scholarships for Key ClubImagination Library of Lamar County, Downtown Food Pantry, Texas Ramps Project, local schools Bully Prevention Programs, Lamar County Crime Stoppers, Camp Kiwanis at Pat Mayes Lake, Holiday Food Baskets, and the Senior Santa at local nursing homes.
