Thanks to a donation from Kimberly-Clark, downtown Paris has new patio furniture on the square and at the public library.
“Thank you to Kimberly-Clark for donating the new patio furniture. If you haven’t seen the library deck across from the Paris Public Library check it out,” Downtown Paris, Texas shared to social media.
In July, five of the six patio furniture sets were stolen, leaving the Downtown community upset.
“This is definitely disappointing as these were the property of the community, and meant for the public enjoyment of all our citizens and the attraction and beauty of our downtown,” said Paris Main Street Coordinator Cheri Bedford. “At any given day you could see them being enjoyed by our citizens and visitors alike.”
However, after releasing photos of a vehicle suspected to have been involved in the theft, in October the patio sets were found and returned.
Now, in addition to the current patio sets, the new set are industrial round outdoor tables bolted to the ground and cannot be stolen. There are two sets at each location.
